Directories, community activity and event calendars, money saving offers, coupons, theater and restaurant information, will all be incorporated into the site’s features. Substance and simplicity is emphasized at cityofupland.com, but the focal objective is to facilitate communication locally. Technology has brought the resources of the world to our doorstep, but utilizing technology to bring a community together is critical to our economical and emotional well being. It is our community we rely on most for our goods, for work, for fun, for our children’s educations, and for support. The Internet allows us a viable, inexpensive means of communication; a tool we can utilize to bring about more community evolvement, but more importantly what resources we have in our own back yard.
